Cold Pressed Olive Oil
Olive oil has superior penetrating ability. It is nourishing and calming to the skin and is believed to have cell-regenerative capabilities. It also contains naturally occurring squalene, oleic acid (omega 9) and polyphenols: anti-oxidants that fight free radicals that damage skin cells. It is rich in vitamins and minerals and contains proteins which aid in its restorative properties.
Olive oil is also a very good moisturizer because it attracts external moisture and holds the moisture close to the skin to create a breathable film to prevent loss of internal moisture. Our olive oil soaps are mild even for sensitive skin and babies. Lastly, olive oil is stable, resisting rancidity, thus leaving you with a lovely, aromatic bar of soap.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil makes the wonderful natural lather for our natural soap. It has great moisturizing properties and contributes to the hydrating qualities of our soap.
Rice Bran Oil
A favourite addition to soaps, rice bran oil adds the perfect combination of linoleic to produce silky lather, and oleic to improve the shelf life, stability to oxidation, and resistance to rancidity. Highly nourishing to the skin as well, it contains vitamin E antioxidants and contributes to a lovely feeling soap.
Mango Butter
Obtained from the seed of the mango fruit, this is a truly luxurious oil! It is beautifully moisturizing and adds a rich, creamy quality to our soaps.
Castor Oil
Adding castor oil to our soaps not only increases the lather, but adds many wonderful properties as well. It is recognized as a humectant, helping the skin to retain moisture. This makes it excellent for dry and aging skin, but it is great for all skin types.
Avocado Oil
This luxurious, rich oil is highly moisturizing and nourishing for the skin. It is high in Vitamins A and E and is known to readily absorb into the skin. It helps heal damaged or dry skin, even for conditions such as Psoriasis and Eczema.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil's healing and restorative properties make this an exceptional oil - its nickname is “liquid gold.” Jojoba is highly penetrating and closely resembles human sebum which makes it such a great reparative hydrator, along with its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant qualities.
It also contains vitamins E, C and B complex, rich in minerals silicon, chromium, copper and zinc. Jojoba has a very high percentage of iodine, almost 81.7%; the iodine concentration is another reason why Jojoba oil has great ability to heal the skin. We believe adding some “liquid gold” to all our soaps makes our soap exceptional!
Apricot Kernel Oil
Extracted from apricot pits, this natural oil is high in vitamins and minerals. It is used in cosmetics and facial products due to its resonance with the skin, and is particularly beneficial for dry, mature, inflamed or sensitive skin types.
Wheat Germ Oil
Vitamin-rich wheat germ oil is very high in vitamin E, and used for its antioxidant effects on free radicals in the skin. It also contains vitamin A, D, carotene and vegetable lecithin which nourish skin cells and prevent moisture loss. Wheat germ oil is particularly valuable for treating dry rough and aging skin. Its high vitamin and hydrating benefits are the reason we use it to complete our family of oils in our soap.
